Maria Luna Mendez

I am a rising junior at the University at Buffalo, majoring in Health and Human Services. For the past three years, I have been actively advocating for the rights of undocumented students. Growing up, I recognized the significant lack of resources available to undocumented students to navigate the college process and amplify their voices. In response, I collaborated with Vision Adelante to develop the Youth Advocacy Circle, which empowers adolescents in our community. Currently, I am working with Adelante to identify and implement more resources and solutions to address the challenges faced by undocumented students.
